Just getting at least some hits in, before getting injured in the fight again. I swear to god, I get so freaking scared everytime Badr is on the ring and goes to the canvas for any reason... His bones right now are like raw spagetthi

Promo material for this event has been hit & miss for me.
It's like some of their people know what they're doing and some don't. Like some of the footage, shots and comments are really good or interesting, but then it falls flat as a whole due to wonky editing, half-assed subtitles etc.
Very pumped for this card, though. Will probably do a live event discussion thread which we haven't done in a while.

The undercard & SuperFight Series will be available for free and according to YouTube the stream kicks off in 1 hour (even though it's listed as 6PM CET which is in 2 hours): The Main card kicks off in 4 hours and is available at www.welcome.gloryfightfightfight.com for 20 EURO / 25 USD. I'm not sure about any free streams though I'm sure there will be a few by the time the main portion kicks off. This goes without saying, but the free streams tend to come in crappy quality.

it really sucks for glory... having badr fight a no name without much potential that they can't do much with in the future was a big mistake... at least if Hari fought Rigters and Rigters would have knocked hari out they could have build Rigters up, but what can you really do with Wrzosek? Hari should have never fought neither benny, nor Wrzosek. They should have just have Badr vs Rico last year or early this year. There was a lot of hype after what Hari did to rico in their last fight.

My thoughts: + Wrzosek knocking out Badr with a Hail Mary high kick while hanging on for dear life with what looks like a broken right hand. What an insane thing to end your event on. HUGE upset and turnaround. + Overall mostly solid and entertaining fights. + Very interesting seeing Rigters mixing up regular lowkicks with calf kicks and finding success. You usually don't see bigger guys experimenting with exotic techniques like that. Even among smaller fighters it's pretty rare. + Mozny was obviously badly hurt, but he kept getting up on wobbly legs. Gotta respect his heart. + Khbabez/Plazibat was short, but sweet. + Mahieddine/Catinas was a very entertaining brawl + That was a great knee Wisse landed on Belgaroui. + Hendouf/Minoto was a great fight. Perfect opener. + Luckily, I don't think any of the weird judging made the wrong man win. I guess Vakhitov/Pereira is debatable. + While I'm not a fan of Dutch crowds by any means, it was cool hearing a cheery crowd again. + Making the first 4 fights available for free was a good move.
- Some remarkably weird judging by pretty much every member of the jury: one judge scored R2 of Wisse/Belagaroui 9-9 without there being any knockdowns or point deductions. Another judge scored one of the rounds between Beztati/Gashi 10-8 without there being any knockdowns or point deductions. Judges deducting points in the Tavares/Micheletti fight after a verbal warning from the ref. Not sure how I feel about the Pereira/Vakhitov scoring either. - Putting the female ref who doesn't like getting physically involved in the ring with huge guys that don't respond well to a ref shouting commands from a distance. - Pereira/Vakhitov - I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. It was a bit too clinchy and neither fighter took enough risks as far as I'm concerned. The reffing and judging was all over the place for this one, but just like the first time I think Vakhitov edged it. Not sure if Pereira's point deduction was dark shadow politics or entirely on the ref, but either way Glory got what they probably wanted; Pereira leaving the promotion with a loss. - Tavares / Micheletti. Not a terrible fight by any means, just a bit sloppy here and there and not as entertaining as the other fights. - Cringelish; Stop having non-native English speakers doing stuff in English. In this case Bonjasky and Mark Schaaf. They're decent when they have preparation time and it's some pre-recorded thing, but when it's on-the-fly it just gives me major bush league vibes. - While part of me likes that Hamicha and Tavares were able to avenge past losses, it also showed that their opponents were last minute replacements. - Making the main card PPV only was a bad move. Obviously we'll have to wait for the numbers - if they're made public - to see how it did, but I doubt its sustainability compared to a solid TV deal.
Overall I really liked this event, because of the fighters putting on good performances and the fights for the most part delivering. I also liked that Wrzosek winning threw a huge monkey wrench in Glory's plans to use him as a sacrificial lamb to build up Badr again for bigger things.
What I really didn't like was most of the stuff aside from the fights themselves: weird scoring, weird decisions in the reffing department and some of the cringeworthy production just to name a few things that really stood out to me.
