Video is going viral and pushing toward 400k views on Videoland's YouTube channel alone lol.
Unfortunately on social media and comment sections the Dutch vs. Moroccan race war has reignited.

Big of JBS to have his coach explain his poor behaviour.

I wouldnt mind if they banned JBS. The guy is involved in street crime, popped for PEDs mutliple times, assaulted people in the ring multiple times, already had two chances at the title and on both occasions gassed and got KTFO, is teammates with two other guys in the top 5 and refuses to fight them, I think he might have refused to fight Badr too(?), and acts like a victim on social media when Glory dont give in to his negotiation demands. Overall just seems like a scumbag.

I have mixed feelings on JBS.
Obviously he has a history of problems and behavioural issues both inside and outside of the ring and that little scuffle on Saturday was cringey to watch. At the same time, this is exactly the kind of thing that makes people tune in. Had something like this happened leading up to the tournament, they would have sold more tickets.
Hardcore fans like us may have looked forward to the card, but a lot of casual fans and potential viewers voiced their dissatisfaction with the tame build-up to the card and lack of heavy hitters like Jamal and Plazibat. Hell, we complained about it just as much.
The reality of it is that the entertainment aspect of the sport is essential for people to tune in/buy tickets even if that means attracting a lot of people I personally could do without.
Badr has a similar history to Jamal - probably a lot worse, actually - and he was never banned from a promotion. The UFC thrives on stuff like this. Just look at McGregor and all the crap he's pulled. And when's the last time he actually won a fight?
I'd be surprised if Jamal gets much more than a slap on the wrist here. That whole 'investigation' Glory announced feels more like something to appease Rico, which shouldn't be a thing IMO. No fighter should have as much pull in a promotion as Rico does, especially one that cannot sell out events.

I actually agree with not banning him, but only because they probably should have banned him years ago but didn't lol. I know we shouldn't reward this type of behaviour, but people will be interested to see what happens now. Also, Rico does not sell without Moroccans (then again Plazibat brings a fanbase). He'd be cutting his own nose off to spite his face.
Jason Statham was in attendance, so clearly kickboxing still has some reach. I'm wondering if the performance of someone like Bahram Rajabzadeh will reach many eyes. He is being seen as a real winner amongst many coming out of Saturday night. Who do you think he's getting next? Obviously a rematch with Rigters is in his future, but I don't think thats next.

Man, some of these questions..
Also, do these reporters even pay attention when the exact same thing was asked like 30 seconds before?

Who do you think he's getting next? Obviously a rematch with Rigters is in his future, but I don't think thats next. I'm wondering about what's next as well. Robbie Timmers and Maurice Hols have been talking about these supposedly awesome new rankings we're getting, so those could give us an indication on immediate matchups to make now that this event is in the books. About Bahram, as far as I've seen everybody's been talking about him and his performance, at least as far as the Dutch speaking audience goes. People who attended the event commented that him and Khbabez got the biggest crowd reactions. Glory would be stupid not to put him in some big (co-)main events. I'm wondering though if he would like to try out LHW. As far as Jason Statham goes, I've heard someone say he's buddies with Rico and was there to support him. Statham has actually been a Kickboxing fan for years. Heard him name drop some legends in an interview a few years ago including Sem Schilt, who of course had a small role fighting Statham in Transporter 3.

Tarik Khbabez gets to keep the Light Heavyweight Champion's title. Donegi Abena filed a protest after the fight, stating that Khbabez should have been disqualified when his trainer Mike Polanen entered the ring during the fight. Alex Engelhardt, chairman of the V.O.N. (Vechtsport Organisatie Nederland), stated that Abena's protest didn't meet the official requirements as it was made 'too late': - Protests have to be announced within 45 minutes after a fight. - Protests have to be submitted before 12PM the next day. Now I'm not sure if the V.O.N. guidelines are openly accessible, but those time requirements feel somewhat arbitrary. Like something they came up with to avoid a shitstorm. And I think Abena does have a point; it's in the rules so it's a valid complaint. On the other hand, is that really how anyone should want to win? He wasn't exactly behaving sportsmanlike during the fight himself, which he didn't get punished for either.

Instant rematch should be appealing, but with Rajabzadeh around the corner, he vs Khbabez is the fight to do.
I hope they also call Maslobojev back soon. Dude is not getting any younger.

It somewhat feels like Glory doesn't want Maslobojev back.
I hope he'll be part of the Grand Prix - supposedly that's the next tournament Glory will do.

I have been following Sergej's Instagram for a while now, and it seems to me he is perfectly fine with not doing business with Glory, but would fight for the title and that alone. I've been wondering if his move to heavy is a sign of K-1 in his near future.
