2 big thing from this interview: Both Jamal and Mahieddine need medication banned by doping authorities and need special papers for them. And the other is that Said plainly told the interviewer that "some" people at Glory where not in the right position and could better leave (not mentioning him by name but clearly meaning Rudmann)

Jamal and Glory never came to terms but Said said Jamal never said no he just said he won’t agree to what glory asked of him.

New information: Glory promised Said that When Mahieddine replaced Plazibat that he would not be draw against Khachab. Promise got broken.

Because new drug regulations were used for the tournament that was a month away Mahieddine needed to get medical papers to confirm that he needs to use certain medications. Else he could have gotten suspended during the drug testing. It was not possible to get the papers on time when it was only a month away.

oh and apparently the semifinal fights don't pay anything. They only get paid for the first fight, nothing for the semis and finals pay loser 25k and then the winner 500k. Glory used to do this with their 4-man qualifier tournaments years ago when they started to save money and it didn't work then as there was no real pay out at the end. It's not amazing for the fighters, but honestly works fine here as the lure is the 500k anyway.

Just a few bits I can add here.

Apparently Glory approached Said about Mahieddine entering the tournament. Said told them "only if he doesn't meet Nabil in the first fight, otherwise he'll stay in the reserve fight." We saw how that went.

Said also claims Glory didn't approach Jamal until they rolled out the poll and Jamal wanted something in return for being asked so close to the tournament.

Apparently runner-up wasn't going to get anything, it was only changed to 25k (USD) later.

Based on how he worded himself, Said seemed to be implying Rudmann needs to leave. Brought up Hols leaving as an example.

Also Said mentioned some things happened behind the scenes between Glory and Nabil, implying they were trying to screw him over one way or another.

Glory mostly just edited Videoland's interviews and cut out the parts where anything remotely negative was said about them, which meant the majority of Said's interview lol. I guess the good thing about it is people get at least a portion of quality promo material with subs.

K-1 is sorta fucked with their broadcast woes. They're stuck having to rely on their old habit of holding 2359874397 fights on each card to sell tickets while also trying to have a more internationally appealing product with the tournaments. Weird mishmash that doesn't really work for either market that well. Or, wouldn't work, with essentially no broadcasts outside Abema they haven't even been able to push for an international expansion. It's a real shit show.

Despite all of Glory's issues I still support them for the sake of the sport and because they tend to give us decent cards.
At the same time, despite all of K-1's issues it's my favorite promotion by a mile.

It doesn't have to be either or, though.
Both promotions can co-exist and be enjoyed. And both have a lot of room for improvement.

Glory has been weird with their uploads lately.

Some footage been just 720p. They uploaded a Beztati talk show video, but not the heavyweight one that is the main selling point of the event. HW video was on vechtsports youtube instead. Also those were in Dutch and didn't have English subs.

Presser was a bit clumsy and like always there were some questions and Engrish that made me cringe. Couldn't they find anyone with a question for Uku? He was the only guy who didn't get one. Hated that one 'reporter' asked Kehl a question and then went on to say him and all of Morocco support Beztati.

With that out of the way, Bahram hitting the table was definitely a highlight and there were some intense staredowns during the weigh-ins. Also good to see there were no technical meltdowns this time.
