In the latest episode of Remy & Marinho's podcast they went into the whole drama surrounding Glory and the tournament. Apparently Remy has been in contact with a source close to the tournament drama and they divulged information that reflects negatively on Jamal. Remy couldn't specify what he heard yet, but implied that it would come out at some point. They all agreed (Remy, Marinho, staff member Mounir) that Adegbuyi is not a good addition to the tournament, which is when Remy went into somewhat of a rant. He said that Benny should have never started training with Krauweel, because he would always play second fiddle to Rico and never get the attention he deserved. He continued that he cannot understand why so many fighters end up at the same gyms (Mike, SB, ARJ etc.) when they know perfectly well they'll have to get in line behind higher profile guys for attention. He also feels it completely kills rivalries, because now more than ever fighters from the same gyms become friends and avoid fighting each other. While I completely agree with that notion - this is hardly the first time it was brought up - and I like to dunk on how Glory's handling the tournament and its marketing, this is the card we ended up with and it may still end up being solid. |

Glory is doing a " Grand Prix Talkshow" in the Netherlands to hype up the event. The show will be presented by well-known Dutch TV host Wilfred Genee and Mark Schaaf. Some of the guests will be Ernesto Hoost, Stefan Struve and someone "yet to be revealed". Additionally, Glory is selling tickets to the GP for as low as 25 bucks now. At least they're trying something to sell this thing out. |

Glory Grand Prix show came out. Well, came out may be an exaggeration, since the video is hosted on Vechtsport Info's channel and for whatever reason is unlisted (embargo?). Unfortunately there are only auto-generated captions for non-Dutch speakers.
The initial announcement mentioned guests that weren't here, so not sure if there'll be more episodes or just this one.
While I'm not sure getting Wilfred Genee was the right choice to host as he's more of a football/general entertainment guy, he definitely prepared for this and asked a bunch of good, critical questions. He also is very well-known in the Netherlands.
He is known as a provocateur and definitely did everything he could to set Cookie, Levi, Rico and Khachab up against each other. It just didn't really work, because none of those guys are trashtalkers. So while in a way this was interesting, it was way too tame for the average viewer to care as can be deduced from the comment section.
Interesting tidbit was Rico mentioning one of his demands during the most recent contract negotiations was heavier emphasis on drug testing and penalties.

Been watching a bunch of promo material these past two days.
The crossfire with Benny and Khachab, while mostly respectful, still had some good back-and-forth in it:
Khachab: "You're plan B at your gym."
Benny: "The same applies to you now that Jamal joined."

That seems likely at this point. The implication Rico made was that Jamal declined entering the tournament, because he wasn't clean.
Thing is, Rico's own body doesn't exactly look natural either.

Very nice. Glory has been weird with their uploads lately. Some footage been just 720p. They uploaded a Beztati talk show video, but not the heavyweight one that is the main selling point of the event. HW video was on vechtsports youtube instead. Also those were in Dutch and didn't have English subs. Just seems like nobody is thinking about what, how and where they upload  Then a couple days later they region locked the Dutch only videos. |
