It's a decent card and I'll be attending as it's about a 40 minute drive from where I live.

i hope mr pain delivers some pain for Hari. i used to root for Hari but i dont dig his in jail all the damn time persona. i was hoping for maybe some maturity but meh. aint happenin.

I just hope that its a good tear up between Londt and Hari. It's certainly got the potential to be one.

A1 WCC has issues a press release today, which I've translated:

On April 28th 2014 A1 World Combat Cup has been informed by Badr Hari's spokesman that Badr Hari will not be fighting Ismael Londt on May 17th 2014.
After this, Badr Hari has issued a press release in which he informs his fans about the developments and explains why he will not be fighting.
A1 World Combat Cup regrets Badr Hari's choice, because A1 World Combat Cup and surely the fans in Holland looked forward to this fight very much.
A1 World Combat Cup would like to note that Badr Hari's stated reason for not fighting is his own version.

A1 World Combat Cup plans to make the event happen on May 17th 2014, since other than the Main Event there are other good fighters featured on the card.
With the necessary style, class and entourage A1 World Combat Cup would like to present sports fans a succesfull event they can enjoy.

Mister Ali Gunyar, speaking on behalf of A1 World Combat Cup would like to add:
"It is our opinion that Team Badr has thrown in the towel too early. Looking at the effort A1 World Combat Cup has put in to give Badr Hari a chance to fight a worthy opponent in a big fight on Dutch soil.
Getting a license for a big kickboxing event in The Netherlands is not easy, but ultimately we are still expecting a positive result.
We feel it is of the utmost importance for us to find a worthy replacement for Ismael Londt to fight on May 17th."

Which basically means Badr took advantage of the situation and accepted to fight easier opponents for more money in the tournament in Dubai. Not surprising to say the least.

Just had Ali Günyar on the phone. They're trying to get Jamal Ben Sadik to replace Badr.

So I'm attending this today. While they couldn't find a substitute for Badr in time and Londt thus isn't fighting either this is a good card and the production should be good (I was at the arena yesterday while they were still building things up).
