Remember Baruto from when he was only starting his sumo career. I see he even reached Ōzeki rank. Good for him but I don't know about this "Strongest man from the professional Sumo wrestling world" or "long awaited mma debut" titles.
I don't know, maybe I'm getting old. I'm not hyped about this at all. If not for kakutougi forums I probably wouldn't even notice that Sakakibara is finally making his comeback.

im already loving how this is shaping up. sumo mma debuts. fedor fighting a can. jienotsu vs souwer under mma rules. we gonna get us another mixed rules fight? lets do 3 rounds K1/MMA/Ganryujima alternating rules. I want that basketball player that converted to kickboxing get grapplefucked by an old ass yoshida. I dunno. im reaching here. but I want this to be the most ridiculous spectacle ever. because Nye was awesome that way.

He had his 'retirement' fight in kickboxing a few months ago against American newcomer Karl Roberson (who didn't look half bad).
JLB was actually knocked out during the fight, but got the longest count in the history of fighting and went on to win a gift decision.
At age 42 he still has an impressive looking physique, but he's definitely finished as a fighter.
