Probably a lower level opponent or we would have known who it is this close to the fight. Still good to see Spong staying active.

Looks like Spong didn't fight as the scheduled bout disappeared from BoxRec.

Kyotaro is fighting Willie Nasio in January. Nasio is 10-1 (9 KO's). His one loss was to Tai Tuivasa.

He was the greatest amateur boxer of all time before going pro. He had some ridiculous Rickson record. 400-3 or something like that.

Cheers.
Figured it had to be something like that or being in the Olympics.

Yup, two consecutive gold medals in the Olympic Games and the freaky amateur record earn him the right to challenge for world title in his second professional fight.

David Haye (former undisputed cruiserweight champion & former heavyweight champion) continues his return campaign after 4 years of inactivity, to face the cruiserweight champion of the world, who will step up in heavyweight to fight him - Tony Bellew in March 4, 2017. The former WBA Regular heavyweight champion Lucas Browne was going to face Shannon Briggs (LET'S GO CHAMP) for the vacant WBA Regular title, witch was taken from him for doping, but ... he was caught with doping right after this again The possible turnaround was Briggs to face David Haye for this title, but yeah. In boxing it never happens as you wish Briggs and Haye were supposed to fight even before that, in 2016. Shannon got all the way from the states to England to challenge someone of the local fighters to face him with his cult LET'S GO CHAMP phrase and his main target was David Haye. After a month of stalking, knocking on his gym and home doors, yelling in the streets and so on, Haye agreed to fight Briggs if he participates in his undercard and wins the fight against some lame ass. This was because David believed that Shannon wont pass the medical exams before the fight. Briggs knocked out his opponent in round 1, David Haye won his fight in round 2 in the main event and the fight was on. When it was time to sign the contract David didn't want the fight, his business mind told him that this fight has huge potential if it is PPV fight and it will attract big audience. The problem was that no one of the two had world title, Briggs was retired after his loss to Klitschko and since he returned, he faced only low lvl competition and like him - the case with David was the same, so David didn't wanted the fight, until some one of the two did have world title and the fight was PPV. Now he had the perfect opportunity after the doping stuff, cuz he was ranked high from WBA and could fight vs Shannon Briggs but for some reason he choose Bellew fight. Andy Ruiz will face the heavyweight prospect Joseph Parker for the vacant WBO Heavyweight title (vacated by Tyson Fury) in December 10th this year. (in this date we have crazy GLORY, UFC and BOXING fights) The IBF Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is making his title defense on December 10th also, against lame ass, but the good news are that after he knocks this guy out, he is facing Wladimir Klitschko in the beginning of 2017 for the vacant WBA Regular title (vacated again by Tyson Fury). The WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was injured, but the things with the injury are getting better, so we will see him in action in 2017. The boxing heavyweight division is alive again.

Haye blatantly ducked Briggs. Nobody wants to be the guy that loses to him and they all know its a possibility.
