Sad end of BHOP phenomenal carrier, still he demonstrated crazy reflexes and shape for his age (51 yo) in the previous rounds of the fight. As for Povetkin, what can i say? Two important fights (first versus the WBC champ Deontay Wilder & now versus the former WBC champ Bermane Stiverne) and he failed them because of doping. Those fights would have been fun to watch, but yeah ... he will now face some time off and will have to start his carrier from scratches at 37+ yo.

He still is in awesome physical shape for his age and doesn't sound punch drunk or incoherent in his interviews. If he actually hangs them up now he'll retire in good physical and mental health. He's just past the point where he can hang with serious younger fighters, which is natural. |
