Yeah, regardless of the circumstances; Samedov beating Badr was a pretty big upset at the time.
And I don't agree at all with Hari dominating Londt for 95% of the fight, after Round 1 it became a lot more competitive and brawly.
I also can not recall a single person here or in real life that thought Hari would get destroyed by Londt due to Ramadan, lack of training or any other reason, really. It wasn't like Londt was in the best shape of his life or anything. Far from it.
About taking Ramadan into consideration when discussing a fighter's shape; if they feel confident enough to compete it shouldn't be used as an excuse afterward if the performance wasn't great.
Besides, Londt revealed before his fight with Hari that he had converted
to Islam, making it a bit of a moot point.
I'm not even going into the possibility that Hari and/or Londt might not even have participated in Ramadan. I know a lot of religious people that don't exactly follow the rules of their religion very strictly, but I digress.
On to the discussion of the Badr vs. Hesdy presser: first thing I noticed was how skinny Badr's face looked,
but I completely missed the part where Badr addressed losing weight.
I like how Glory tries to sell this fight as a 'rematch 8 years in the making' and 'Bad Blood', but both Badr and Hesdy were relatively nice and respectful and the whole thing came across a lot more relaxed than Badr vs. Rico for example.
