Badr Hari vs. Hesdy Gerges II Headlines GLORY 51 Rotterdamliverkick.com/badr-hari-vs-hesdy-gerges-ii-headlines-glory-51-rotterdam/While I'm not a fan of this being Hesdy's first fight after getting slept by Brestovac, this is a cool rematch and actually one of the few interesting fights for Badr in Glory. While Hesdy might have been getting some mixed results lately, at least he's been active. It might end up being competitive.

How crazy would it be that after all the so-so performances and weird judging, Badr becomes the victim of the first win Gerges picks up in this run at Glory.

OP Updated; I completely missed that announcement!
Having some very mixed feelings on the card and the order of fights isn't at all helping.
From the perspective of being two separate mini-cards the pacing kind of makes sense, but you end up with two so-so cards rather than one coherent feeling card that gradually builds up from lower level matchups in the SFS portion to high level ones in the main portion.
How on earth is Mozny/Skvor the co-headliner? That place should be taken by Doumbé vs. Nabiyev - even if it does have the potential to end up being a complete clown-off.
Also, some of the fights feel like they have the potential to be blowout fights. I don't see a prepared Glunder having much trouble with Pinto and I seriously question if it's a smart move to have Jauncey fight Beztati. Jauncey got killed by Elvis Gashi of all people in his last outing, should he really fight someone who is much more dangerous than Gashi at this point? Jauncey lost 5 out of his last 7 fights and while most of those losses were to quality opponents that win:loss ratio isn't exactly helping Jauncey.
And again, like I've stated so many times before; why does 60% of the main card consist of a tournament I don't care for?

This is a very good point I haven't really thought of that much with Glory. The cards really don't build up to a proper main event. Starts however it starts, might have good fights or not and then a usually a high point in the middle of the card with the last fight of SFS...then often a drop-down and more random-er fights and again better for the numbered part main event. Hurts the product and so could inhibit growth but at least short term gets them more money though with 2 similar quality products to sell from one event. The little I watch UFC it's very easy the better fights are pretty much always the last few fights on the card. From recent years can think of one time some Mousasi fight was on a prelim part that I had figure out then. Also, some of the fights feel like they have the potential to be blowout fights. I don't see a prepared Glunder having much trouble with Pinto and I seriously question if it's a smart move to have Jauncey fight Beztati. Yup unless it's some crap ref who for some reason let Pinto do MT rules I don't see a prepared Glunder having trouble with Pinto either. Important fight for Jauncey.

To be honest I'm a bit relieved for Josh the fight isn't happening.

Really?
I feel like it was actually a good style match-up for him.

If he'd been coming off better recent performances I'd agree, but at this point I somewhat frown at Jauncey taking on anyone dangerous and would prefer him taking an easy fight or two. I guess Gashi was supposed to be that easy fight, but we all know how that turned out..

He was looking okay, but man, he's really bad at listening to his corner. I mean, I talk to Jay all of the time and we talk about this shit a lot, but that's Josh's biggest problem right now is that they have a plan, they train it, then he gets pulled into a brawl.
Watch him in the Petrosyan fight where he actually listened, then watch his last few fights.
They seem happy with him now and his last fight was a smaller one in Canada where they were trying out stuff with him and were happy. They weren't looking for a KO, just to test out some stuff and they felt confident in the Beztati fight.
