Yeah, my bad I completely forgot to post about this. That’s great news though, often when fighters go in critical condition after being knocked out they tend to take a turn for the worse. Hoping Stevenson can make a full recovery.

Oh and happening this Friday:
Tyrone Spong vs. Ytalo Perea
Perea's record is 11-3-2 so at least Spong is fighting someone with a winning record.

I haven't seen the spong vid yet. but a split decision win isn't inspiring. when is his next kickboxing fight again? .....

Wow I'm totally out of the loop, didn't even realize Spong was trying his hand at boxing. Why isn't he kickboxing anymore?

I think it started out as a way to stay active while not using his legs for kicking after he broke it against Saki. At this point it seems he's trying to climb the ranks to secure himself a big fight on the safest route possible.
Having said that, I could see him return to kickboxing for the right price. He even said so when asked.

sadly I don't see him returning to kickboxing soon if ever. He was getting paid 150k before glory cut his salary in half, so spong left right away. Same thing happened to saki, which was also paid 150k and they cut it in half. In fact they cut the salaries in half to pretty much every top fighter, including Ghita( which also resulted in him leaving the promotion). These days spong is worth even less for glory than what he was in 2014 when they cut it to 75k. So I don't see spong accepting anything glory is offering, unless he is going to fail badly in boxing and cannot establish himself as a top 15 fighter. He has to eat and you can't really make any decent money in boxing if you aren't top 15.
