So Vakhitov is fighting Ilunga?
Granted Zhuralev didn't look great vs Dennis but he's been interim champ for a while now

Vakhitov hasn't fought for a while, maybe he's thinking Ilunga suits his style a bit better.
It's pure speculation on my part, though.

Zhuravlev injured, reckons he won't be able to fight til Fall (autumn, for the non Americans)
oh and Zinedine is getting married either that week or the week after, so he's not able to take the spot

Happening this Friday.
Mainly interested in Marcus/Wilnis and Vakhitov/Ilunga.
I don't care much for the rest, but who knows, the card might deliver.

I seriously keep forgetting that this is happening. I think the intensive summer schedule gives the cards a bit of a visibility problem, but maybe I'm just old and forgetful

Between GLORY and ONE doing a million shows it's pretty exhausting and there's no room for them to breathe.

Between GLORY and ONE doing a million shows it's pretty exhausting and there's no room for them to breathe. I love the schedule this summer-one or two shows per month is great. I watch a few cards per week with the UFC and other MMA already so Glory & One FC's lesser schedule is light from my perspective.

Between GLORY and ONE doing a million shows it's pretty exhausting and there's no room for them to breathe. I just don't watch a lot of full events. I always watch full K-1 and Glory events while outside of those I only follow fighters & watch fights that interest me. I barely watch MMA and boxing at the moment. That said, the stuff I do watch still feels like a fair amount. There are periods I'm just a lot more into it than others and even when I am there's only so much time in a day, you know. As for Glory, while I actually like that their schedule is a bit busier during the summer months, with it comes the side effect of having quality fights even more spread out, making individual events feel more watered down. But hey, their last few events were all pretty good.

Hard to get into this card. Glory seems to be increasingly getting into the '1-2 good fights + a dozen meh show fillers' formula the UFC is so in love with.
