Imagine going back to 2010 and letting folks know that this was in the pipeline for the distant year 2020

There is only one fight everyone has been clamoring for and its Takeru vs Adam Bobobobobobobo
EDIT: With the constant rumors that Sittichai is out of Glory, I wouldn't mind seeing Petro vs Sittichai

We need Paul Slowinski to come out of hiding and defeat Quateron to prevent a full return to 2009

As I understand it, they think they have him under contract and Sittichai's keen to take fights elsewhere, but they're trying to stop him

My belated thoughts on the Judging. My biggest frustration with K-1 Japan isn't the lack of copromotion or the lack of international viewing options, but the fact that they seem to be creating a set of "K-1 rules / judging" that is a similar but completely separate from the common understanding of "kickboxing". What more, these nuances are only privy to Japanese fighters who know how to play the meta game and punishes skilled kickboxers from abroad

I assume things are tough and the year end/start season can be an especially difficult season but I wish you the best Kenshin

Man 2019 is a hard one. A lot happened but so much fragmentation. I'll need a serious think

Something that's been really bothering me since going over Twitter and listening to Warman's latest podcast. This exchange during an exhibition fight:Was better than all of Badr/Rico2. I'm not trying to throw shade here, because I liked that fight myself and to a degree was excited by the hype. It's just that some people appear to be under the delusion that Badr/Rico2 one of the greatest kickboxing fights ever. Now, in terms of reach/hype/media attention, especially in the Netherlands? Sure. In terms of highest level of heavyweight competition this year? Sure, I'll give you that. And honestly that's nothing to scoff at; 'For kickboxing' this was a great event, in spite of another injury putting a dent in it. But in terms of actual fight quality or even narrative? NO, HELL NO, it's not even close. Better quality fights happen almost every week. Hell, there were better fights on that very card. It's just that high profile heavyweight matchups are rare nowadays. They used to happen every few weeks for over a decade during the FEG K-1 era. It's just that the western world wasn't paying attention back then. I aggressively reject the notion that 'The West' watching somehow makes something the biggest thing ever. 30k crowd is awesome, but K-1 used to sell out Tokyo Dome at twice that amount for a decade. I do get where the Warman is coming from. While there's good "action" happening in kickboxing all the time, the fragmentation of the sport is leading to less "big fight" peaks. The sport is healthier than its been in a while, but without those moments to reside in collective memory its hard to look back and appreciate what's been happening I do think the Glory crew has been a bit hyperbolic in proclaiming Badr Rico "the biggest single fight in kickboxing" (lets be real, this was a mid-tier Final 8 fight for K-1 and its a semantic trick not to count GPs for not being built around single fights when the sport's history has been built around GPs), I'm fine with giving them a pass as they needed this to pay off big.

Also speculation on if karaevfan rage quit twitter or what happened. Caposa had some issue too and people wondered if twitter offed them over copyright things or what. But I guess you can just temporarily deactivate your twitter account so not a biggie. I never see Karaev being too serious on twitter Oh lol. My last posts were melodramatic so I can see why folks would think that I actually just wanted to pull myself out of the NYE vortex this year and get some good sleep in heading into 2020. Deactivated my account just so I can’t stray back. Will be back soonish
