In case anyone cares, No, I don't like the sweeping banning campaign by Twitter. Anyone who brings up the 1st Amendment to complain about it is an idiot who deserves to be laughed at, but that doesn't mean I like what Twitter did.

I mean, fuck Donald and good riddance, he should be banned, and spare me the "Cancel Culture!" bullshit too, but nevertheless I think it's a mistake.

It's breathtaking that there are some people who are *seriously* talking about "unity" and "healing the wound" and shit like that.

I mean, Biden saying that is one thing - the president also has a ceremonial function, and is basically the combination of a prime minister and a king, remember - but other people, REPUBLICAN POLITICANS of all fucking people? You gotta be fucking kidding me.

There is no "unity." There is no "healing the wound." It's a fucking civil war, and it's not going to end any time soon.

Not everything is about racism, for God's sakes. Yes, an overwhelming majority of these fuckers are racist, some openly, others secretly. That's true. But just because that's true doesn't mean you can be reductionist and blame everything on racism.

There's something far, far, far deeper than that in this kind of a reactionary movement. You'll never, ever grasp, let alone beat, those fuckers if your scope is that severely limited.

Those libs are so used to punching left with bogus racism accusation all the time that they are just detached from the political reality of the actual fucking real world.

The Dems have the worst kind of an intellectual midget as a leader when they desperately need a competent one.

I'm willing to help out the liberals, but they gotta wake the fuck up and smell the coffee. I can't do anything for them if they are this awfully confused and grotesquely naive.

It's kind of amazing that liberals - not all of them, but most of them - act that way even after Donald Trump proved twice that the current electoral system massively, massively favors Republicans. Trump won in 2016 with such a pitiful number of votes nationwide, and got very close to winning it again in 2020 with even lower rates of popular votes. And Dems were massacred at the state level.

The radicalization of the GOP will NOT end with this; It's merely taking a pause. It will be back with a vengeance soon. I don't think most Americans really understand what's awaiting them in the near future.

A minority rule is the mother of all instability. America's stupid electoral system will continue to ensure the entrenchment of minority rule. And sooner or later, the whole polity will become largely ungovernable.

Can't liberals see that?

The law enforcement, in all branches, are absolutely contaminated with massive doses of MAGA. The FBI is frantically doing damage control, and will probably catch a huge number of MAGA who were at the Capitol to prove their competence, but damage has been done already.

It's strange that the media are so reluctant to use the single word that we already have for all of these people: Republicans.

These people are a huge faction of Republicans now, about which the mainstream media continue to muddy the water for some reason (I know the reason, of course).

In case you are wondering, there is zero evidence for massive election fraud. There is zero evidence even for suspecting that there might have been. There was election fraud of course. I've ranted quite a few times about how big a joke the American elections are, even about the dark side of Democrats, so some of you should be familiar with my stance on the issue.

So, of course there were illegal votes, illegally discarded votes, etc. But absolutely nowhere near the scale that they claim that it was, and these things usually cancel each other out as both sides do it. We are talking about a few hundreds here.

I mean, I talked to some Europeans today, and was surprised that they actually think there's some smoke there.

No, there's nothing. It's all Republican bollocks. It's ridiculous that I have to say that now, but it really is.

You say everyone saw it coming, and I say everyone saw it coming, but the vaccination "plan" in the US has turned out to be the joke of a century in practice, really.

This is significantly worse than the disaster that I had expected. And it's not really better in much of Europe either.

Parler has been dumped by Google, and then Apple, and now Amazon. Platformless and serverless. Pretty rough time for them.

It was advertised as this totally von-Mises-libertarian ultra-free-speech alternative to Twitter with hardly any restrictions/rules, welcoming the influx of right-wing freedom fighters.
