This is a very good tournament.
Oh this one is too!
These releases the day after KFesta2 announcements? And they are doing Fukashi vs Chad Collins on Knock Out? Jkick is the new CKick 😎

Honestly that 58kg tournament looks like it will probably be a number of the brightest spots this year. I hope none of it clashes with the Takeru, Takei, or Noiri fights. Everything else I'm flexible on.

One way or another though, Japan is heating back up
Despite the incompetence of all parties involved

Thanks, kickboxing. Thanks a lot. Didn't want to see one of the most entertaining guys in the world anyway.

In trying to figure out what's going on, I found out that Rodtang posts on facebook approximately 5000 times a day and seems like a pretty sensitive guy

What's funny to me is that there are still people debating if MayTen was a 'work' or not.
It was an exhibition, which we all know how those usually go, where Tenshin was ping-ponging around and Mayweather made $9m, at least. He at least pulled some shit threatening to no-show unless he could win or look strong and most likely there was some business stuff involved.

A lot of that is just a function of it being on an MMA card, where the overlap in viewership between their sport and boxing is miniscule so most of them don't actually understand what they're looking at, compounded by a vast majority watching it on some 30fps second hand stream. That and we're living in the days of the algorithm now, Brendan Schaub and whoever else pays their bills saying dumb shit don't have to say what they believe, just what gets them the most clicks, and consciously or unconsciously (lol) they do so.
What I really find funny is barely anybody (including the people who make videos for a living) actually goes back to rewatch the video, just a weird ecosystem of self propagating bullshit.

Public opinion is settled

Trump just wants to make JMMA Great Again.
Too bad he wants to build a wall around the entire country to do it first, claiming that fishing towns need protection from Godzilla.

Sorry to belabor the point but if you asked me to guess at any point since their fight (and especially after the Mayweather debacle) who I would see teary-eyed pictures of on Facebook after hugging his mom between Rodtang and Tenshin I would've picked Rodtang 0% of the time. The way he fights it's easy to forget he's basically still just a kid as well. It's really fascinating seeing this side of him.
