They've said they are, but they said that for start of 2018 too, so...
I don't think they could completely disappear anytime soon with the new Tongling venue, the team combat league there and the City Hero stuff. Suppose they could mostly stop doing the higher level numbered events if money was tight but if that was the case it'd be weird signing new fighters etc.

Absolutely shocked by this news. My well informed timeline of kickboxing fans on sherdog assured me that Badr and Hesdy were clean this time. Just look at them, they’ve lost all their gainz

Think he was doing a seminar in China with some WLF peeps. I mean, of course, he could just be training/vacationing in Thailand but his people asking for a fight with Ristie + wishful thinking...maybe Marat could fight in Kunlun again

lol
The most surprising thing about this is that I forgot they test in the Netherlands now even though I recall some other guy getting a 4 year ban. Seems everyone else forgot too. I'm interested in seeing exactly what Hari's actually taking at least.

Badr and Gerges popped for peds for their glory fight from march... In december glory stopped the collaboration with the company that does the testing.
LOL, glory went full retarded with this. They tried to look "cool" like the ufc by adopting testing thinking that they can actually control it, but they could not. Now they were made look retarded plus they lost lazaar and probably will lose Badr, Gerges and Mladen Brestovac.
Glory it's like that stupid child that plays with fire and then burns himself.
As I said before , as long as it is still their biological body, without implants or robotic parts, then it is completely normal that a fighter has the right to reach the full potential of his BIOLOGICAL body. So there is nothing wrong with taking PEDS.

Wherever you stand on drug testing philosophically, the implementation just doesn't make any sense. Kickboxing is this incredibly atomized sport where the vast majority of it doesn't take place in Holland, internationally it takes place under almost 0 regulatory oversight, and most people are making less than 10k a fight. An Olympic-cycle length ban is stupid, it doesn't serve as a punishment or a deterrent, it just guarantees that these guys are going to get paid in a different currency.

Not sure I've ever really seen any fans glamour for testing in kickboxing, so yeah promotions are silly to opt-in to anything extra at least. Commissions could do something little on their own okay but let that be it.

This isn't fucking Rocky where someone is being pumped with superhuman drugs that makes them unstoppable, this is real life and most of this shit is to help with recovery or the impact of aging (lower testosterone levels, more tired, etc.). A four-year ban is fucking INSANE and literally cuts the knees off of careers. So now these guys are added to the list with fucking Ismael Lazaar (seriously, look at that ROID FREAK) of people who got fucked by this testing.

With the money they pay for that testing, they could make better fights or sign other fighters that people want to see. NOBODY in kickboxing wants drug testing, neither the fighters or the fans.

Talk to fighters and it's usually only the ones grandstanding about being a "clean fighter" that are all about this.
Most of the time that's about optics.
Most fighters are clean and are just worried about technique, cutting weight and being mentally ready. Drugs, especially the designer ones, become a problem at the top levels only because of how expensive the stuff worth doing is. So yeah, someone like Badr will be an issue, but we know what Badr's actual frame is and that he's a small guy. When he was 'retired' he looked more like he did in his early 20's as in super skinny.
Hell, when he was arrested and his home was searched they found drugs literally everywhere, bursting from the seams. You look at the guy and knew he was on the junk.

Didn't even realize they had actually implemented a full testing program
I don't have much to add on the topic, but it seems to me that if I scout out the Bay Area yuppie literature around here there's a lot people are circulating that basically treats testosterone (and to an even greater extent, LSD) as the next weed. By the time fight promoters actually figure out how to do testing in a relatively drama free way, I imagine national discourse may have moved onto whether to openly legalize

Clinical testosterone use in the US is 100% some Dr. Feelgood shit and that turd is only getting pushed in one direction and never going back in short of some massively fatal side effects. However, even when weed was being rapidly decriminalized regulatory bodies were still cracking down on it. With testosterone and combat sports, the intersection there opens up a lot of bad shit.
I don't know what the answer is, I support the concept of drug testing because it can theoretically enforce a more "fair" playing field if not necessarily a more level one. But this is a sport where you can rack up 200 professional fights by 30 and still need to train in somebody else's fucking gym. The material conditions simply aren't there to treat this as a pure sporting endeavor and drug use is a symptom of a more structural problem than people "looking for an advantage in the ring".
If you support drug testing I don't think the route from here to there is being ultra punitive because you think it made the UFC look good in some way. Kickboxing is light years away from regulatory oversight, let alone regulatory alignment, and it's not even in the same universe as providing a baseline level of financial support to a majority of athletes to make drug testing viable for its theoretical goal. So it just exists as this weird comet that slings around once every thousand years and provides a brief laugh as someone pops for meth or some shit on Dynamite USA, K-1 Vegas, and now Dutch shows I guess.

They would probably only do it when their biological arms are recovering from injury.
