Can't say I'm surprised, though I'd rather see Hesdy getting attention due to his accomplishments as a fighter.
I hope he stays out of trouble from now on, which may prove tough as he's approaching the winter of his career inside the ring.

So I've seen rumours of a big Glory event in October on a few websites and they appear to share below post as a source: I don't know where this group got the information from, but if it's reliable this is a really solid card and something to look forward to, even if October is still a few months off.

In that sense it does remind me of Enfusion and It's Showtime

Quick math I'd ball park it at them having ~1.5 years left unless they get new investment or find a Manny Pacquiao of their own or in some other really clear way their revenue went up a lot, a big new paying tv deal etc. Also trying to be a little generous assuming corona didn't fuck them too badly and even leaving out costs for the apprentice, don't really know how much licensing something like that might be.
Maybe some "K-1 World Grand Prix 2011 in Nanjing Final 16" vibes towards the end of 2021 or early 2022.

Hope them or Glory (or Kunlun, 4ever Kunlun) figures things out though. Otherwise might have to hope for some new rich guy or big entity to try and have a go at kickboxing, again.

I hope Jonathan doesn't live in Singapore. There are so many car accidents every year.

Probably not really adding anything new here, but let's do a bit of quick math:
1 UFC event $840.000 : 8400 attendees = $100 USD average ticket price
21 ONE events $680K : 21 events = ~$32.000 USD in ticket sales per event
$32.000 : 5.000 attendees per event (lowballing) = $6.40 USD average ticket price
So there are a few possible scenario's here: - Ticket prices for ONE events are REALLY low - The majority of their venues are filled based on comped tickets - They're lying about attendance numbers
Unfortunately, I think all three apply.
So, what possible other sources of income does ONE have?
- Merchandise; Maybe some. Probably nothing to write home about. - TV deals; Do they have any? Perhaps Shadess can clarify. - PPV; Aren't most, if not all their events available for free on YouTube? - Social media views; As a single person, depending on your numbers you can make a good living as a YouTuber, Instagrammer etc. For a huge company with a ton of expensive fighters on semi-exclusive payrolls, any social media income can't be more than a drop in the bucket. - Investors; Possibly. - Advertisement; Possibly.
So yeah, unless I'm missing something and/or a miracle happens I don't see this going longer than one or two more years.
Like I said before, I just hope the fighters get paid and we don't end up with another K-1 Global / "Where is Mr.Kim?" situation.

You gotta think about how really capable are most of the world investors.
You would think that they are ultra smart guys, experts in market analysis and monster spreadsheet.

but the UFC sold for 4 BILLIONS tho! There's also more people in Asia and every single one of them just loves karate etc. so what do you need to look at any spreadsheets for just pour in some more money it's a sure thing.
Also Bruce Lee.
