Remy is perfect for the job. Only area where he should improve if he's gonna be doing any host type of job in any promotion is improve his English. It's quite good when he's prepared, but when he has to do things on the fly he clearly struggles.

And I get that. He's not a native speaker, so he's gonna need a lot of practice. Can't have your host sounding like an amateur because of a language barrier.

Ideally, Remy could be like a European version of Valtellini.

If true I hope this is just a phase.

At 34 Murthel still has some good years left in him and it would be stupid to retire over this loss, even if it is one that hurts.

Some rapidfire updates from Vechtsportinfo.nl:

*Nieky Holzken and John Wayne Parr have signed some sort of (new) contract with ONE. Rumor has it they're going to fight each other early this year.

*Khbabez needs surgery on his hand after his tournament fights. He says Levi really earned his respect and that he would like to rematch Rico at some point.

*Badr said in a talkshow last night he didn't feel right during the Adegbuyi fight. He felt like he was unsure/lacked confidence and he feels like he needs more ring activity to fix that. He also said he'll eventually have a third fight with Rico, but not before restrictions are lifted and they can fight in front of a big audience again.

*In a radio interview this morning Rico responded that he has multiple possible opponents for the immediate future, but if Glory wants it he'd fight Badr a third time.

*Gökhan Saki made a post on social media that implies he'd like to fight Rico again. I think he still has a UFC fight left on his contract, but who knows what happens after that.

Murthel confirming this is probably it for him.

That interview was taken right after the fight though, so I think he'll probably be back.

Right after the fight Murthel was on some IG video with Doumbe saying it was probably his last (at least, kickboxing) fight. A lot of fighters have had a year+ to think and do other things, sad if we don't see him again though.

Yeah in a Dutch post-fight interview Khbabez said his uppercut hit Rico's elbow and he could tell something was off. He also said it's not fractured. Might still need another surgery though.

Didn't know that Maslobojev holds an amateur victory over Alex Pereira. Would make even more sense to match those two up now.

Yeah what happened to him? Went quiet around him after his victory over Mannaart.

While we're sharing amateur career trivia. A guy from my gym holds a victory over Levi Rigters when they were still amateurs around 2007-2008. Pretty much still kids at the time. Casually heard about it on Facebook this weekend.
