MW has been kinda unappealing lately, hope they boost 77 and 84kg.

MW has been kinda unappealing lately, hope they boost 77 and 84kg. Not a huge fan of either division, but they need to stop fucking around and give us Hamicha vs. Menshikov already. A matchup more elusive than Kryklia vs. Aygün. Edit: The card is shaping up nicely, hoping that the final couple of matchups contain a few welcome surprises.

Just got an email from Glory that their card has been finalized, but they haven't added any more fights since the latest one mentioned above. I like the card, but 7 fights including the prelims is not much. Maybe they'll end up adding another couple of fights. Tickets go on sale tomorrow and go from roughly 40 to a bit over 400 EUROS for VIP seats. Jamal/Rigters is the main event for this with Badr/Wrzosek being co-mainer. It makes sense in terms of rankings, but I expected it to be swapped around. Not that I'm complaining. Curiously the official announcement doesn't mention anything about PPV.

Saw the email too, figured someone just had the order slightly wrong Pretty odd Badr isn't headlining the event.

Not watched yet, but saw that Badr dropped out of the presser. Would think this to be the most boring thing imaginable.

Dennis Kornman now at Eurosport. Did stuff with Glory for years. There was some other Dutch fight sports writer who went to Eurosport recently also.

Dennis Kornman now at Eurosport. Did stuff with Glory for years. There was some other Dutch fight sports writer who went to Eurosport recently also. Kornman's 'Vechtersbazen' podcast is pretty decent. It's mostly in Dutch, but the Plazibat one I posted a few days ago is in English. EuroSport has been making some moves lately; they've really been embracing MMA with the PFL and now they're doing these UFC previews and showing events after they've aired on ESPN. It seems like a lot of stuff is happening behind the scenes, especially since the Warner/Discovery merger. As for Glory's presser it was wonky as usual. Van Soest inserting herself into it, fishing for compliments and making it about her was super awkward. I mean, I get it. The women's fights are getting little to no love. But blatantly asking for attention isn't gonna do anything. I'm not even sure what to make of Badr's non-show. It's like he can get away with anything and Glory can't do shit, because without him half the audience disappears. Should there be consequences for him doing what he wants? Sure, but there won't be. At the same time.. Is there anything interesting Badr can say at a presser at this point? He's lost every fight in Glory. The one fight he won against Hesdy has been turned into a NC after they both(?) pissed hot. I did like some of JBS' and Rigters' quotes though: Reporter: "People are saying Rigters is the next best thing!" JBS: "Which people? Glory's marketing department?"
