Figured I'd venture beyond the kb sub once this year! I'm not a big Disney fan. I don't like the amount of power they've amassed over the past decade. Yup. Not a fan that kind of bought power. Pixar, Marvel, Lucas...shouldn't have been allowed to buy them all tbh. Having said that: I am a massive Marvel fan. I've always liked Pixar. I'm also a Star Wars fan. Admittedly it's perhaps to a lesser, more casual extent, but I like the franchise and think that generally speaking, the modern Star Wars films aren't given a completely fair shake by fans. Not saying I don't see some issues with the films, but I think they're worthy sequels and look forward to the new stuff that's coming out. Not been a big fan of the new Star Wars movies, all 6/10 for me. Pixar can be quite great, but actually looking at a list of their movies...a while since something like WALL·E or even Up. Been a lot of part 2's, 3's and 4's of things not quite for me. Seems like some more original movies from them next, maybe they'll be good  I've liked the Marvel stuff better than Star Wars, all pretty ok. |

Terminator: Dark Fate was a solid film.
While I have a few gripes with it, it's easily the best film in the franchise after T1 and T2.
Don't wanna give anything away, so just gonna say the fights are awesome!

I have yet to play any of the games, but this looks really cool. And I'm usually not a fan GoT-esque fantasy settings.

Just realized I haven't posted here in a while so wanted to shoot out some quick updates:
Good to see Parasite winning big at the Oscars. While I still haven't seen it myself I've only heard good things about it. The reason I applaud its success is because it's cool to see a non-American film win Best Picture.
Also cool to see Joaquin Phoenix winning Best Actor, because he was awesome in Joker.
Just recently saw Alita Battle Angel and it really surprised me. I had kinda mediocre expectations, but decided to watch it, because I heard good things. I'm happy I did!
Only saw The Irishman a couple of weeks ago and it was brilliant.
I finally started watching Rick and Morty after catching some episodes on Comedy Central and really liking that so far.
Watched the first two seasons of the new Baki anime and while the animation reeks of budget restrictions, I quite liked it.
And last, but not least:
RIP Kirk Douglas. 103 is one hell of an age.
While most people over a certain age will remember him from something epic like Spartacus, I grew up watching him in Greedy which is a typical 90s, but very underrated comedy.

stumbled upon a new show. Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma. absolutely love it. its like an iron chef anime.

Just watched the first episode and really liked it. For an anime about food, I did not expect that many naked people though, lol.

Shokugeki no Souma is good indeed.
One positive thing about this whole COVID-19 is that I started to feel like binge-watching again. Already saw some goodies.

Having the time to binge something is always cool.
Season 5 of Better Call Saul wrapped up a few days ago, so I'm looking forward to binge that somewhere this week.
