If this is the case, would be neat if the Spike Kickboxing promotion took a more Muay Thai oriented approach. I'd hate to lose Bolanos elbows...

Kunlun's MMA guy Yang Jianping announced a or at least is a face for a new promotion with monthly events in China. Called Superstar Fight I think. Seems to have MT/KB on too. Interesting to see where it airs. Press conference was in Hunan with some Hunan sports bureau people, usually seems to mean it airs on a channel with the same name Meaning Hunan TV, the biiiiig channel K-1 was on for a while. He is one of the more popular Chinese guys they have so a bit of a loss if he isn't on Kunlun cards anymore. Feb 27 first event, think with Cosmo Alexandre, Singdam Kiatmuu9 and more. So far announced 3 Chinese ex-UFC guys, Cosmo and Singdam.

WLF seems to be looking to match Qiu Jianliang against a top name for the first "Glory of Heroes" event in april. Having a kind of vote with basically half the names from liverkicks FW rankings. Hoping it actually means something and not just hyping up a "top10 fight" like with Yi Long and then ending up with...well what they ended up with.

There is certainly more Muay Thai going on in Coker's backyard than Kickboxing. A lot of these guys like Ross I've always said would be better suited for Kickboxing rules however.

Yeah, I think that Ross will be just fine under Coker. Coker will know what he has in him and push him pretty hard, most likely against guys that he can beat.

Kehl fighting on the WLF april bigger show. They hired some outside company to do some visuals for those events, Done pretty good looking stuff for MTV, HBO etc. Feels like it'll definitely be at least a little bump up in quality for WLF. Still going to have your Yi Long shenanigans on there but hoping the number of good international talent goes up like (I think) they said.

Benson Henderson (UFC--> Bellator) said he had a couple offers from kickboxing organisations while considering his options. Ariel asked him if fighting kickboxing on the Bellator thingy might on the table and he said it could be.

Some big news from the Japanese Woman's Kickboxing scene: Krush Women's Champion Syuri will given up her belt, give up on Kickboxing, and is make the move to MMA. She's signed with Pancrase and will debut on the 24 April card. Syuri's one of the most polar female Kickboxers in Japan, and a popular Pro wrestler too. She's defended the Krush belt 3 times now, and has co and main evented Krush shows, so for her to give up on Krush is a pretty big deal.

Next Kunlun should be on the 21st in Thailand. Starts a new 70kg tournament. Not seeing huge names for these fights yet but Risco, Zuev at least.
MAX keeps on thriving.
