To be sincere I don't understand why would they give Harut the title shot. Murthel is 2-0 against him and beat him already a few months a ago in a dominant performance and he also basically made him quit.

Murthel is 2-0 against him and beat him already a few months a ago in a dominant performance and he also basically made him quit. Well, Harut at least won the most recent welterweight contender tournament, beating A. Pinto and Benmansour in one night. I'm not sure what other options they have right now in this weight class. Looking over Glory's roster on their web site, he seems like the only fighter positioned to challenge Murthel for the welterweight belt right now. Nabiyev certainly is in consideration for a title shot after beating Holzken, but that just happened and they may or may not give him a shot without a tournament victory. I hope you got on that Nabiyev gravy train on the last card samurai1, +330 was sweet!

Wait, is this the tournament that Todd said was HUGE?
Was that just a joke because they're heavyweights?

It's an ok card, but it bemuses me that there's still such a huge gap between these American cards and the European one happening next week. Its not like they're still throwing rando Americans on the PPV portion and yet I get a much meh... feel

Kinda meh card. Harut and Baya will need KOs/KDs to win and I don't think either will pull it off.

Its not like they're still throwing rando Americans on the PPV portion and yet I get a much meh... feel I mean, I get it. I've been to a few of these American shows. The people there have no fucking clue who any of these guys are. They are there to support the guys from their local gyms. So they can't just front load the cards with locals because by the time the main card starts that arena will be empty. But damn is it a bad television product.

I'm looking forward to this card very much as I think it's one of the better U.S. cards in a while. I agree with Dave that many if not most of the attendees at U.S. Glory shows are somehow connected to fighters on the card, the combat sports industry, or in some cases they are traveling foreigners like Romanians coming to support their countrymen, not local American kickboxing fans which are rare than hens teeth. I disagree about Glory as a television product though. In my opinion that is one of the things that they get right, as I find the production values quite decent. And as a Fight Pass subscriber who already subscribes to satellite tv, it's easy for me to watch as well with no additional cost.

I'm not super familiar with D’Angelo Marshall beyond the Londt fight, but surprised he's so evenly rated on the odds vs Adegbuyi.

The way I handicap the fights:
For Glory 50 I'm on some sides and o/u's already. I laying the juice on Sittichai at -260 in the LW title fight vs Christian Baya in the Superfight Series on Fight Pass. Also took the under 4½ at +170. Unders are always tricky with three minute kickboxing rounds, but Baya said he was going to bring the fight to Sittichai and that opens him up to the Thai's step-up knee and body kicks. It's a good price for the stoppage before the middle of round 5. In one half of the HW tournament bracket, I have to back my man Guto Inocente, as a -150 favorite this time (not +1300 underdog!) vs Mark Hunt protege Junior Tafa as well as the over 1½ at -140. In the other half of the bracket, I very much like Benjamin Adegbuyi at -130 to beat D'Angelo Marshall by stoppage or more likely decision, leading to a potential re-match of that huge upset in 2017 in the tournament final of Guto & Adegbuyi. I expect hometown welterweight Richard Abraham who is not a super heavy hitter to go over 2½ with Chicago native Malik Watson-Smith at -150. In the welterweight title fight main event, Murthal Groenhart has stopped aggressive Armenian Harut Grigorian on two separate occasions when they previously fought including once in Glory, so with this clash of styles, think the under 3½ is a reasonable bet at -145. Prices have shortened on almost all these lines since yesterday.
