Magny has a tough time to get some recognition. The guy is 9-1 in his last 10 and his last 3 wins were against tough competition, beating Erik Silva, Gastelum and Lombard. Yet nobody talks about him and he is gets put on the Fight Pass preliminary. At least he got a good opponenent.

yeah they had a whole article about that stuff with Larkin talking about it. theyre going to start putting at least one prelim on fightpass with recognizable and decent names. to try and sell more subscriptions.

I'm sure that's the UFC's plan. The question here is: Are the fighters getting compensated for that? Because every fighter basically has its own brand - the more popular, the better; more money and stuff. So if you put a guy like Magny, who has been pretty succesful recently, who is in title contention even, on a platform that isn't that etablished yet in order to further etablish it, which in this particular case means that he has less exposure than if he was somewhere else on the card, I think he should get somewhat compensated for that.
I haven't read the article you was referring to, so I don't know if Larkin touched on that too.

he was worried about their matches being forgotten when it comes to performance bonuses because theyre fighting while the venue is still being setup etc.

That's most likely the case, too.

I'm sure you will see it on a constant loop pretty soonish but the pre fight presser descended into chaos with McGregor turning up his obligatory 30 mins late, Diaz suddenly got up and left shortly after McGregor arrived, which really seemed to piss off the Irishman, a Team Diaz member then decided to throw a bottle at McGregor as they were leaving the exit used for the fans and the cameras. McGregor replied by throwing bottles AND full cans of Monster Energy Drink over the top of and, essentially, at fans and UFC crew members as well as Team Diaz. On camera! Jake Shields was seen throwing something at McG too. Nick Diaz was in the thick of it, as per usual, giving McGregor the finger. Things always seem to escalate when he's around. Dana then pulled the plug on the whole thing.
Just utter, pointless madness. Hopefully nobody was hurt. Their should be some type of repercussion/punishment for this pure shite.

From the video that K1power posted it seems that Nate was throwing the first one. Fucking funny how Dana was like "Hey Connor, don't throw these"... was that the energy drinks?
As stupid and dangerous as this is, it surely makes me wanna see the fight even more.
