The discussion has more participants now, that British Glory 'reporter' apparently interviewed Groenhart yesterday and he said he was paid 50% of the K-1 MAX Championship.

Imho, that served as another reason to further prove that a situation where a person/group of people is at the same time a promoter and manager of some fighters is sick and shouldn't be tolerated anymore.

300k for winning the tournament. Then that's indeed correct

Yeah. I mean, it's a crappy situation. Murthel had no contract to fight, but because Simon Rutz and Black Label were, well, you know, they figured it would be fine. Murthel then won the whole damned thing and they paid him half. Murthel then immediately signed with GLORY and Kim decided that since there was no contract they didn't need to pay him. I've heard people in K-1 claim that no one in K-1 came up with the $300,000 prize money for the tournament, that it was Simon Rutz who came up with the figure and that it was in none of the fighter's contracts that they'd win $300,000. There are some within K-1 that say, "just pay him, it's good for business." Others are still sore about it and are claiming legally they don't have to pay. According to Robbie suing might cost as much as what's owed, anyway. I don't know. According to K-1 they've paid everyone that they owe, but the stigma is always going to be there. ~KICKBOXING~
