Of course these are just predictions/expectations at this point and you have to take into account that this is 'just' the population of a single -albeit HUGE- country watching, but let's say they actually get around 300 million viewers. That's 4% of Earth's population watching your event!!

That's 4% of Earth's population watching your event!! I've been checking stuff out and apparently the largest ratings they've seen thus far is 750 million (!!!) watched some Spring festival this year, that is about HALF the population of China. In comparison the Super Bowl is the biggest TV event in the US and reached 111 million viewers this year, which is roughly 1/3rd of the population. I think there is more potential for Chinese people to watch prime time TV than there is anywhere else right now. I'm pretty sure they are still going to do free live streams as well, which is good for the rest of us.

Those deals could be serious game changers (something like an overnight castle). Question is what are the terms. But there's no ignoring the fact that they do some serious work there in China. New partners popping out, now those multiple tv deals out of nowhere. Can't help but feel like there are many things happening behind the scenes that we are being kept in the dark about.
Could also explain why there seems to be a bigger interest recently from people in the industry to align themselves with K-1.

Well, if you would have asked a year ago, it would have been that GLORY would be ruling the world and K-1 would be bankrupt again.
Now people are slowly starting to see that the opposite might be the reality soon. It's a strange twist of fate, for sure, but right now GLORY is in trouble and K-1 seems to be on the upswing.

Yeah. I totally expect angry voices for the next couple weeks like why fighter x or fighter y signed with K-1 when he should be signing with Glory or that Glory should be getting those tv deals and not K-1 because they don't deserve it, they don't pay their fighters and stuff.
Gotta wonder how will those that burned the bridges with the current K-1 management feel like if they start raking the money and throwing it around.

I know that fighters like Petrosyan and a few others have reached out to K-1, for what it's worth.

I'm shocked that GLORY never picked him up. He's technically from the US (although he lives in the UK) and is good. He's not going to be the world beater, but he's good. He can also talk, which is very important.
Multiple times I spoke with GLORY about signing him but they just didn't seem interested at all. It's like if they don't have a tie to some fighter in some way they just don't care.

well let them keep doing bad business then because they had the tv deal here in the US and a chance to be big and they've fucked it all up.

Sounds like the last event was a ratings flop in that context ,who knows anymore. I like the shift back to Asia. Thats where K-1 belongs.

Tate is a good addition as he has really improved over the past few years. He completely ran over Wendell Roche recently.
